P-47D Thunderbolt ARF
Almost Ready-to-Fly .60-Size Warbird

P-47D Thunderbolt ARF

No other word does justice to the "Jug". The P-47 Thunderbolt served many Allied forces during WWII, in every combat theater – it was the largest single-engine fighter of its time. This P-47 ARF model earns the "exceptional" description in its own right. The detail and quality will impress even the most discriminating scale modeler.

  • Built-up and sheeted wood construction, covered in flat-finish film.

parts layout
Top Flite went above its already high standards for construction quality and scale realism to create this ARF. It assembles in only 15-20 hours – but you'll be as proud of the P-47 as if you'd built it from a kit.
fiberglass cowl
The checkerboard pattern painted onto the fiberglass cowl follows every contour perfectly. Few die-hard kit builders would have the patience and skill to achieve such striking results.
Four-blade prop shown not included.
detailed cockpit
Anyone familiar with Gold Edition ARF warbirds expects nice details in the cockpit – but the P-47 still manages to amaze, with ultra-fine touches and even rudder pedals. Add your favorite pilot figure and enjoy!
mechanical retracts
For the ultimate scale experience, Top Flite includes durable, well-engineered mechanical retracts. They provide the strength needed for confident landings and are concealed during flight behind fiberglass landing gear doors.
Use the P-47's flaps to increase altitude faster at takeoff – or to reduce speed and decrease the distance needed for landing. A steerable tailwheel makes it easy to stay in control on the ground.
Top Flite includes flat finish decals for three different nose art options – all historically accurate artwork from actual WWII P-47D Thunderbolt aircraft. Customize your model with your favorite!
The factory-applied MonoKote trim scheme does more than capture the accurate colors of the original P-47 Thunderbolt. It also features a flat finish that's true to the look of a battle-proven fighter.

4-stroke engine
Enjoy 4-stroke muscle and fuel economy by powering your Thunderbolt with the O.S. Surpass™ FS-91S II (OSMG0896).
